Flight Information + FAQ’s

You will fly into the Augusto C. Sandino International Airport, Nicaragua. The airport code is MGA.

Given the changes in the airline industry and the global pandemic, we encourage you to book your flights directly with the airline. If you’d like to utilize our complimentary airport transfers , make sure to book your flights for an arrival no later than 4:00pm on April 13th. Please triple-check the dates on the airline's website. You could also rent a car if you would like more freedom to explore on your own.

Once you have booked your flights, please email Cally your flight details so your transportation to the hotel can be arranged.

  • Augusto C. Sandino International Airport, Nicaragua - MGA

  • YES! Unless you are a citizen of Nicaragua currently residing in Nicaragua.

  • No, this retreat is co-ed and we welcome anyone who is interested.

  • Not a problem! Cally is certified to teach many different types of yoga and has years of experience with first-timers. You don't need any prior experience. If you have any concerns, please contact us. We'd love to chat.

  • Nope! You can if you want to but the hotel will have all materials needed onsite.

  • This trip is for YOU, so if there's anything you don't want to do, you will not be forced to participate. Because all activities are included in the cost, we highly recommend you try each one before making a final decision, but ultimately it's your call! Please let us know if you have any concerns and we will accommodate however we can.

  • All participants must be over the age of 18.

Here are some tips:

  • If you book a flight with a layover, please pay close attention to the layover times. While no one wants to sit around the airport for hours, you also don’t want to miss your layover because of a short connection. I suggest choosing a schedule that has at least 1.5 hours on the way to your destination. On your way home, I suggest at least 2 hours to give extra time to get through immigration.

  • Some airlines provide tickets that can be changed or canceled without a fee. This costs more upfront but can be helpful in the case of unforeseen circumstances.

Packing List

Here are some recommended essentials:

  • Swimsuit

  • Light weight rain jacket

  • Warmer coat or jacket for the early mornings and evenings

  • Footwear suitable for walking/hiking with good grip (not fashion tennis shoes)

  • Reusable water bottle

  • Sunscreen

  • Any medication you take

  • Hat

  • Sunglasses

  • Nicaragua typically uses 110-volt electricity, the same as the US. Plugs are typically the 2 pronged flat types so US travelers will not typically need a plug adapter (unless your device requires 3 prongs).

Trip insurance is required by our company to protect you from unforeseen events. Because most medical insurance policies do not offer coverage outside the United States, we do not recommend traveling without insurance. • Previous convictions, unpaid child support, vaccination status, etc. could affect a person's ability to travel internationally. It is the client's responsibility to know if they can legally enter a country/territory.

  • Travel insurance is required by our company to protect you from unforeseen events. And because most medical insurance policies do not offer coverage outside the United States, we do not recommend traveling without insurance.

  • The official languages of Nicaragua are Spanish and Engligh.

Nicaragua’s currency is the córdoba . For extra expenses, you can either withdraw cash from an ATM (it will automatically convert) or use a credit card. Make with your bank about foreign transaction fees. It's always a good idea to have some cash on hand for small vendors.

  • I can’t talk highly enough of Cally and how amazing she is at what she does! Overall-Cally is organized, detail oriented, super sweet and has the biggest heart, and I Couldn’t recommend her any higher as a Yoga Instructor, and Trip Planner!

    Payton W.

  • Cally had everything planned from rooms to yoga to amazing adventures. This was my first solo trip with a group of ladies I didn't know. She made everyone feel comfortable. I couldn't have asked for a better group of ladies to travel with.

    Tori R.

  • Cally is an amazing instructor!! I had never done yoga before and jumped on her first yoga retreat to Portugal— many of us were first timers and she has the talent, love, and skill to teach all from first timers to experts. She is fun, kind, and loving and makes sure you are comfortable every step of the way!

    Alex R.

  • As someone who’s always wanted to travel but not travel alone this trip was the perfect start. All of the girls were amazing and even though sometimes the ever changing weather could have ruined the trip Cally asked us what we wanted to do and made it happen.

    Emma G.

  • Cally is organized, responsive, detailed, positive and never once did I have to worry about making a decision. I felt she took care of us all in such a smooth and knowledgeable way. She had the days planned perfectly and thoroughly. Gave us enough down time and options if we wanted to choose things for our "adventure”.
